Radiant complexion - 5 amazing masks

When you look at yourself in the mirror, how would you describe your face? If you had to go to a party in a few minutes, would you feel confident about your appearance? Few people would answer the above questions positively. A radiant complexion is not something that many of us can boast of, although it undoubtedly adds charm to the face.

Today we are going to share a few recipes for masks that will make a radiant complexion your asset!

There are many remedies that can be used regularly on the face to nourish the skin, moisturize it and help get rid of acne. However, sometimes you want your complexion to glow without the need for long treatments.

If this is how you feel, we recommend that you try the masks below:

1. Chamomile and papaya mask

Chamomile is great for cleansing the skin, while papaya exfoliates and moisturizes it.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of warm water
  • a handful of chamomile flowers
  • 1 slice of papaya

Preparation

  • Put the water on low heat.
  • As soon as it is hot, take it off the burner; don’t let it boil.
  • Pour hot water over the chamomile flowers.
  • Infuse for 10 minutes.
  • Place the infusion in a blender along with a piece of papaya.
  • Blend until you get a paste.

Application

  • Apply the mask to the face with a brush.
  • Cover your face with a towel or a damp cloth.
  • Leave for 10 minutes.

2. A mask of ground oatmeal

The two ingredients of this mask are honey and ice. Honey adds shine, while ice smoothes wrinkles and tightens pores. Lastly, oatmeal acts as an exfoliant. Radiant complexion guaranteed!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 ice cube

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Application

  • Apply to face evenly with a brush or sponge.
  • Leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse off with warm water.
  • Rub your face with ice to close the pores.

3. Tomato mask

No chamomile or oatmeal handy? But you definitely have a tomato in your kitchen.

If so, you’re in luck, because besides being a versatile and highly nutritious fruit, tomatoes are great at killing bacteria and evens out skin tone. If you want a radiant complexion to be your advantage, try this simple mask.

Tomatoes as eyes

  • If the tomato is very soft, crush it in your hands. If it is slightly green and tough, use a spoon or blender.

  • Rinse with lukewarm water.

4. Yogurt mask

It is a great idea to combine it with other treatments related to face care. Perfect for dry or acne-prone skin.

  • 100 g of natural yoghurt

For better results, the temperature is of utmost importance: the cooler the yogurt, the better the results.

5. Banana mask and a radiant complexion

Bananas are considered to be one of the best moisturizers: they are a true gift of nature. And they act immediately. So use the bananas that you have in the kitchen, although it’s best to choose the most ripe one.

Banana mask

  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Preparation

  • Mash the banana until you get a smooth paste.
  • Add the remaining ingredients in a glass bowl and mix well. You can also mix everything in a blender.

Application

  • Cleanse the skin.
  • Apply a mask.
  • Leave for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.

Additional advice on the use of masks

For best results, please follow the recommendations below:

1. Apply the mask to cleansed skin. While some of these masks work as an exfoliant, they will work faster if you first wash your face with water and natural soap.
2. Prepare the mask just before use and try not to leave it on for more than two hours. If left unattended for a long time, some of its properties may be lost.

It is best to use fresh products. When it comes to papaya and bananas, you can choose ones that are very ripe (no signs of spoilage, of course!). Your radiant complexion will thank you for it!
